Origin

Farms are located within the Apaneca Ilamatepec mountain range. This volcanic range runs through the Ahuachapán, Santa Ana, and Sonsonate regions in the West of El Salvador. Coffee farms in the area are renowned for producing quality fruit. There are four volcanoes nearby including Ilamatepec (also known as Santa Ana) being the largest and most well-known. It last erupted in 2005, with repercussions for this high-density coffee-growing area that lasted for two full years.

Coffee is collected to strict taste standards and screened for quality and size. They are milled in nearby Santa Ana which handles all the coffees from local farms. Despite being a historic processing centre for over 100 years, it has been regularly modernised, most recently to include wet and dry processing facilities, and upgrade eco-friendly equipment.
